A Note of Thanks from Engage Michigan

Thank you so much for attending the Engage Michigan Convention.

With over 1000 attendees and 100+ panelists, the Convention was a success by any measurement.  From the rousing speeches from U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow, Rev. David Bullock and Karla Swift to our vision “conversations,” we learned of many creative solutions for policies that further our values.   And Reverend Dr. Wendell Anthony closed out the day with one of the most energizing and invigorating benedictions I have ever heard.

We left proud to be Democrats and energized for the work ahead.   And I am so thankful for your commitment to this work and the positive support that your presence provided throughout the day.

So what now?

Engage Michigan is just getting started.  Here are three things you can do to stay involved:

  1. Join the Engage Michigan PAC.  The Engage Michigan PAC will seek to support candidates and initiatives that further our values and vision for the state.  Can you give $5 today to help us get started?. Your support goes a long way to ensuring that the Values and Vision we have turn into Victories. Help us ensure that happens.
  2. Vote for your favorite Radio Ad. We received some great radio scripts after Eric Sapp’s Values workshop.  I’ve posted some of the best ones here.  Cast your vote by Wednesday November 30 and help us select the winning radio ad.  Help us choose the best script – the one with the most votes will be turned into a broadcast ad for next year.
  3. Share your ideas and volunteer to help with future Engage Michigan programs.  How can we improve on our successful convention?  What can we do together to continue to communicate our values and vision throughout the state?  Sign up here to be involved with future Engage Michigan events and programs.

Thank you again for being a part of this special gathering.  I hope that you found the day invigorating and inspiring, and that you left with fresh ideas for how we can work together to Engage Michigan.
Gratefully,

Jocelyn Benson, Chair
